CONSCIENCE



That little voice

inside of me

that guides my choice

that straights my way

when i go astray

and purges my soul

when i commit a sin.

That little voice

that censors our deeds

is inside every of us

hear that voice

and take heed!



But this little voice
does it die?
it doesn’t and don’t ask why

But i wonder
those who watch
as others’ lives burn
i wonder if to them
this voice is gone.

Those who take pride
in oppressing d weak
does this voice in them hide
or does it speak.

To those whose souls are broken
what has this voice spoken?

And to those who break souls
i wonder
what this voice says to them?
do they ponder?
